The Beauty of Dogs

Have you seen the people with dogs that enjoy going everywhere with confidence and wanted that for you and your dog? The best way to get started is with early socialization.

The primary socialization period for puppies closes at approximately 16 weeks of age. That means that during this time, you’ll need to safely and positively introduce them to everything you want them to cope well with as an adult.

For puppies aged 8-14 weeks, we have our ongoing Puppy Primary Socialization Class. Class is held on Sundays at 4:15pm. This is a 4 week class which you can join immediately. Each week we will work on a new exercise to help your puppy during this primary socialization period. Our class is designed to give your puppy the positive exposure to other dogs, people, sounds, and surfaces necessary for good socialization. Joining Socialization Class also will give you access to The Beauty of Puppies puppy group on Facebook which contains information about important topics during puppyhood. Would you like your dog to have friends and good social skills? You may have heard that socialization is extremely important but not all socialization is equal. In fact, if your dog has a bad experience with another dog it can lead to fearful or aggressive behavior in the future.

These classes allow your dog the benefits of play and interaction while under the supervision of a trainer. Don't worry about protecting your dog from school yard bullies or other bad behavior you may find at the dog park.

If your dog is shy or insecure, we can build his confidence by making sure he is protected. Or, if your dog tends to be rude or plays too rough, we'll help him learn how to interact more calmly and have good manners.

Socialization class lasts approximately 30 minutes. Open to both adult dogs and puppies. Classes are offered as part of our programs.

Continuing classes are sold in 4 packs for $44 dollars. Packs expire after 5 weeks. You’ll have 5 weeks to attend 4 classes or come every week and start a new pack once you've used the four sessions!
